New Beginnings!

Ah, January, the month named after Janus, the Roman god of beginnings, transitions, and awkward double takes. With one face looking forward to the new year and the other face probably regretting al

l that mulled wine from December, Janus embodies the duality of January perfectly. It's a month where people boldly proclaim their resolutions while simultaneously Googling “how to cancel a gym membership.” Truly, January is a tribute to fresh starts... and leftover holiday cookies.

So first, the updates. The long awaited new building is here, and going great! With a tremendous amount of help from friends, family, customers, and the Town of Maysville, we finally have what we need to help feed the livestock of the surrounding areas without waiting!

Originally some of you encountered out of stock items, or waits for basic things. We hope to bring that to an end and have a free flowing constant stock of the great products you always need! Remember the store is open publicly Sat/Sun 9am to 3pm, and during the summer, we expect M-F hours to be open as well.

The Showtime Show-stopper

Yea, the showtime dog food dilemma was a mess. For those who don't know the plant has had a few major setbacks

in the dog feed arena. When this happens its pure chaos. We understand that people depend on us for this, and we've been assured the problems should be in the past, and stock should steadily start to increase again. In preparation of this, we'll attempt to increase our stock as well to help buffer any hold ups from our friends at the Plant.

The dreaded weather

We all know the routine by now, button up, and plan accordingly for the true winter bite. Cold temps for days are normal this part of year, however, this particular dip in the cold could bring snow, ice, and terrible conditions for us all. As of writing this we are still out of straw hay at the moment. We can get Pine Shavings for cheaper than most around. Water becomes a big issue. Make sure to notice that water dishes likely will be frozen for days, water hoses, and even some ponds.
